1 Alpine police blotter: July 29, 2010
An electric wire caught on fire on Allison Road in Alpine at 3:45 p.m. July 20 after a tree limb fell, police said. Lt. Michael LaViola said about 50 homes lost power, and Verizon and Cablevision service was still out the next morning. The firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the flames.
